Early Life and Career Beginnings
Leslie Dennis Heseltine, better known as Les Dennis, was born in Liverpool, England, on October 12, 1953.
The son of a football club member and a factory worker, Dennis began performing satirical routines at working-class clubs while working part-time at a hardware store.
Rise to Fame in Comedy and Television
In the 1980s, Dennis's career took off as he appeared in several entertainment shows.
He initially partnered with Russ Abbot on both "Russ Abbot's Madhouse" and "The Russ Abbot Show." Later, he collaborated with impressionist Dustin Gee in "The Laughter Show." After Gee's untimely death in 1986, Dennis continued hosting "The Laughter Show" and went on to become the third pres
